Airswift is looking for a Facilities Engineer/Specialist III to work for a major O&G company in Spring, TX, for an initial 12-months assignment. Position Overview The Facilities Engineer / Specialist III role is a technical engineering opportunity focused on supporting discipline engineering activities within an operational facilities environment. This position offers the chance to contribute to engineering quality, risk-based decision-making, and safe execution of engineering and design work in line with company standards and regulatory requirements. Role Context This opportunity sits within a facilities engineering environment where discipline engineering work is carried out internally and by contractors and sub-contractors. The role supports engineering execution, risk assessment activity, facility improvement initiatives, and plant-based performance testing. The Facilities Engineer / Specialist III will work closely with wider teams and other company functions to support progress, issue resolution, and effective communication across engineering activities. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work performed internally and by contractors and sub-contractors to ensure alignment with company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. Facilitate effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines in line with team goals, objectives, and procedures. Provide accurate and timely communication to the team and other company functions regarding engineering activities, progress, and technical issues. Participate in risk assessments, HAZOPs, hazard hunts, and critical operating parameter reviews. Lead incident investigations relating to downtime and process safety matters. Support opportunity management through identification of opportunities and development of project scopes of work. Carry out risk assessments for new facility projects, existing facilities, and closure of mitigating action items. Lead performance testing and plant-based trials. Support development of operating guidelines for facilities. Coach and mentor junior and fellow colleagues. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering specialty, or equivalent professional experience. Essential: Extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria. Essential: Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities. Essential: Proficiency in Microsoft Office software. Essential: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English, particularly for technical and business communication. Essential: Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
