About the Role This is a Perth-based, full-time 5 days a week role on an 12-months contract. The Electrical Commissioning Specialist will provide commissioning leadership and technical expertise to ensure safe, compliant and effective project delivery across complex operating facilities. Working closely with project teams, contractors and client stakeholders, you will oversee commissioning activities, ensure compliance with completions processes, manage commissioning priorities, and support the successful handover of project systems. This role offers the opportunity to contribute your electrical and commissioning expertise on significant projects while working alongside a collaborative and high-performing team. Responsibilities: Promote and maintain a strong commissioning safety culture throughout all project activities. Ensure supervisors understand the scope of work, safe work practices and key issues impacting execution activities. Develop, implement and maintain commissioning completion and close-out documentation. Ensure commissioning spares are identified, procured and available when required. Provide direction on commissioning priorities, integrity requirements, schedule compliance and commissioning progress. Verify commissioning activities are completed and documented in accordance with approved procedures. Support project close-out activities and validation of commissioning deliverables. Ensure compliance with project completions and handover processes. Provide technical guidance on electrical systems, switching activities and commissioning execution. Ideal Candidate Criteria: Minimum 10 years’ experience in a commissioning, electrical or project delivery role within the energy, resources or industrial sectors. Current WA Electrical Licence. Strong understanding of HV and LV switching programs, electrical protection systems and commissioning practices. Experience with ABB switchgear will be highly regarded. Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Strong commitment to safety, quality and project delivery excellence. Willingness and ability to attend site as required. Currently residing in Perth or willing to be based in Perth for the duration of the contract. .
