Procurement Qaqc Engineer Corrosion

NES Fircroft is currently recruiting a Procurement QA/QC Engineer – Corrosion for a leading engineering and energy industry client in Singapore . This role is responsible for supporting procurement quality activities throughout the engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, inspection, and delivery phases of projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring supplier compliance with project quality requirements, industry standards, and corrosion protection specifications, while providing technical oversight of coating, painting, and related quality assurance activities. Key Responsibilities Support procurement and project teams in ensuring vendor compliance with project specifications, quality requirements, and applicable industry standards. Participate in supplier kick-off meetings, quality reviews, and progress meetings throughout the procurement and manufacturing lifecycle. Review and comment on supplier quality documentation, including coating and painting procedures, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and quality records. Coordinate with suppliers, inspection agencies, and project stakeholders to facilitate inspections and manufacturing surveillance activities. Monitor supplier performance and provide quality-related progress updates to project teams. Review inspection findings and follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely closure of quality issues. Manage and track non-conformance reports (NCRs), supporting root cause investigations and corrective action implementation. Support inspection readiness reviews and coordinate third-party inspection requirements where applicable. Review manufacturing records, quality dossiers, and handover documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements. Provide technical support on corrosion protection, coating systems, and surface treatment requirements during procurement and manufacturing activities. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC, Procurement Quality, Vendor Inspection, Corrosion Engineering, or related disciplines within the Oil & Gas, Energy, Marine, or Heavy Industrial sectors. Experience supporting supplier quality activities during procurement, manufacturing, testing, and inspection phases. Sound knowledge of corrosion control, protective coatings, painting systems, and materials protection methodologies. Familiarity with international standards and specifications relating to quality management and corrosion protection. Experience reviewing technical documentation, quality procedures, and inspection records. Strong understanding of manufacturing quality processes, inspection requirements, and non-conformance management.
