NES Fircroft is currently recruiting a Procurement QA/QC Engineer – Piping for a leading engineering and energy industry client in Singapore . The Procurement QA/QC Engineer – Piping will be responsible for supporting quality assurance and quality control activities throughout the procurement and manufacturing lifecycle of piping-related equipment and materials. The role will oversee supplier quality performance, manufacturing inspections, testing activities, and technical compliance to ensure project requirements, industry standards, and quality expectations are achieved. This position works closely with Procurement, Engineering, suppliers, and inspection agencies to support successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities Support procurement activities and participate in supplier and project meetings to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and quality requirements. Review and evaluate supplier quality documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Manufacturing Procedure Specifications (MPS), testing procedures, and inspection reports. Participate in Kick-Off Meetings (KOM) and coordinate Pre-Inspection Meetings (PIM) with suppliers and project stakeholders. Monitor supplier manufacturing activities and provide regular updates on package progress, quality performance, and key risks. Coordinate inspection and testing activities with suppliers and third-party inspection agencies. Verify inspection readiness and support the scheduling and execution of supplier inspections. Review inspection reports and ensure timely closure of quality-related actions. Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), coordinate root cause investigations, and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively. Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), pressure testing, manufacturing surveillance, and final inspection activities. Review Manufacturer Record Books (MRBs), certification packages, and as-built documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements. Liaise with Engineering, Procurement, suppliers, and inspection agencies to resolve technical and quality-related issues throughout project execution. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement QA/QC, Supplier Quality, Vendor Inspection, Manufacturing Quality, or related roles within the Oil & Gas, Energy, Offshore, EPC, Marine, or Heavy Industrial sectors. Experience supporting procurement quality activities for piping systems, line pipe, forged components, valves, pressure-containing equipment, or related packages. Strong understanding of quality management systems and supplier quality processes. Knowledge of international piping and manufacturing standards such as API, ASME, DNV, NORSOK, MSS, ISO, or equivalent industry standards. Experience reviewing technical documentation, inspection procedures, and manufacturing quality records. Familiarity with manufacturing inspections, pressure testing, FATs, and supplier surveillance activities. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
