The Operations Support function provides services to our operational assets, including onshore gas plants, offshore gas platforms, offshore FPSOs and other functions and groups such as Projects. While we provide services, organisationally we are a part of Operations which is the production business unit. About the role Reporting to the Materials Lead, the Materials Coordinator – Global Solutions is responsible for executing the day-to-day materials and inventory management activities that support production, maintenance, shutdowns and operational campaigns. The role delivers high volume, rule-based materials execution by processing demand, maintaining inventory data integrity, coordinating material movements and ensuring accurate, timely SAP transactions. Operating within approved global standards, processes and decision boundaries, the role ensures materials are available in the right quantity, at the right time and location, while identifying and routing exceptions, risks and data issues to the Materials Lead, SMEs or Global Excellence as required. The role underpins production continuity through disciplined execution, data accuracy and adherence to approved workflows. Duties & Responsibilities: Execute day‑to‑day materials and assist inventory management activities in line with approved processes, workflows and service levels. Perform accurate and timely SAP ERP (MM) transactions in accordance with approved procedures. Track materials from order placement through delivery, identifying and escalating risks that may impact DIFOT performance. Support demand planning and forecasting activities in collaboration with operations and maintenance stakeholders. Manage materials returns, reverse logistics and disposition activities in accordance with established procedures. Monitor inventory levels, movements and data accuracy to support operational readiness and continuity of supply. Support cycle counts, stock verification and stocktakes in accordance with approved schedules and control requirements. Maintain focus on inventory and materials data health, escalating systemic data quality issues as required. Liaise with Procurement, Master Data, Warehousing, Logistics and Vendors to support materials availability and execution outcomes. Act as a materials focal point for assigned scopes, providing timely and professional advice within defined role authority. Coordinate with external service providers to ensure materials are delivered safely on time and in full. Deliver materials management activities in compliance with statutory, regulatory and HSEQ requirements. Apply approved materials handling, storage and transportation processes in the execution of day‑to‑day work. Identify and escalate safety or compliance issues that fall outside defined controls or role authority. Skills & Experience: Trade or Degree (Engineering or Commerce) qualification in relevant technical discipline is desirable but not essential. Technical Skills / Experience Experience in materials and inventory management within operational or asset‑intensive environments. Strong working knowledge of SAP ERP (MM) and materials management processes. Understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain, warehousing and logistics interfaces. Strong analytical, problem‑solving and data interpretation skills. Ability to manage competing priorities within defined delivery guardrails. Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Commitment to safety, compliance and disciplined execution. Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics or related discipline (desirable).
