We are currently hiring for an
Electrical Superintendent.
This position based in Kuwait onshore site-based drilling rigs.
Purpose
The main purpose of the
Electrical Superintendent
(For Maintenance of Land Drilling Rig and associated Equipment’s) position in an oil drilling company is to ensure the reliable and efficient functioning of electrical systems essential to drilling operations. This includes overseeing the maintenance, troubleshooting, manage the PMS System and repair of various electrical equipment.
Minimum requirements
Minimum 15+ Years of experience in Oil & Gas Industry and the last 10+ years of experience as Maintenance Electrical Supervisor in the land drilling Rig equipment’s.
Ensure optimal functionality and reliability of electrical systems in oil drilling operations.
Uphold safety standards and compliance with regulations.
Lead and supervise a skilled electrical maintenance team.
Manage the electrical maintenance budget effectively.
Implementing API Q2 & ISO 9001 standards in the department and ensure compliance with same.
Responsibilities:
Supervise maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical components.
Enforce safety protocols and compliance with industry standards.
Lead and mentor a team of electrical maintenance technicians.
Manage the electrical maintenance budget and resource allocation.
Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with other departments for seamless operations.
Maintain accurate documentation and generate reports.
Delegate responsibilities and tasks to subordinates.
Pass on information from administration/management level to employees and vice versa.
Prepare and submit performance reports periodically.
Implement management decisions.
Maintain timekeeping and personnel records.
Conduct periodic meetings and keep records.
ESSENTIAL WORK ACTIVITIES
Supervision: Lead and supervise electrical maintenance technicians.
Maintenance Oversight: Oversee troubleshooting and repair of electrical components.
Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure regulatory compliance.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and train the electrical maintenance team.
Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments for seamless operations.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records and generate reports.
Ensuring the work is completed on schedule and to code.
Maintaining a safe and clean work area.
Timely, accurate and efficient preparation and management of documents.
To control the numbering, sorting, filing, storing and retrieval of both electronic and hard copy documents produced by technical teams, projects, or departments.
Inspect & supervise the crew to Maintain housekeeping and hygienic procedures of the office, work sites and accommodation area.
Education and skills
Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in electrical engineering or a similar field.
Minimum 15+ Years of experience in Oil & Gas Industry and the last 10+ years of experience as Maintenance Electrical Supervisor in the land drilling Rig equipment’s.
Should have experience in PMS System.
Proven work experience of minimum 10 as an electrical supervisor.
Strong leadership and managerial skills.
Familiarity with company policies and legal guidelines.
Ability to learn a variety of job descriptions.
Excellent communication skills in English and interpersonal skills.
Outstanding organization and leadership skills.
Good knowledge of MS Office & excel.
In-depth knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
