Project Coordinator II Location: Calgary, AB or Edmonton, AB Contract Duration: 12 Months (August 10, 2026 - August 9, 2027) Work Arrangement: Hybrid In Office: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday Remote: Wednesday, Friday Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized and collaborative Project Coordinator II (Milestone Scheduler/Coordinator) to support a portfolio of projects by coordinating, maintaining, and driving the updates of key project milestones. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with stakeholders, facilitating communication, and ensuring project teams remain aligned on critical delivery dates. While experience with Primavera P6 is required, the focus of this position is not detailed schedule development. Instead, the successful candidate will manage a simplified milestone-based scheduling process that provides visibility, consistency, and actionable insights across multiple projects. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, stakeholder engagement, organization, and a proactive approach to driving accountability and schedule accuracy. Key Responsibilities Coordinate, maintain, and update a standardized set of approximately 17 critical project milestones across multiple projects. Engage with Project Managers, Engineering, Construction, Procurement, and other stakeholders to gather schedule updates and validate milestone status. Drive ownership and accountability for milestone updates across project teams. Ensure milestone schedules accurately reflect execution strategies, project risks, scope changes, and timeline updates. Utilize Primavera P6 to maintain and update schedule data across the project portfolio. Promote adoption and effective use of milestone schedules by ensuring outputs are practical, clear, and valuable to stakeholders. Prepare regular milestone status reports, highlighting critical dates, variances, risks, and upcoming priorities. Support reporting and analytics using tools such as Excel and Power BI. Identify and implement opportunities to improve milestone tracking, reporting, and schedule effectiveness. Act as a trusted partner to project execution teams by ensuring scheduling processes support project delivery objectives. Adapt to evolving business needs and continuously seek improvements to processes and tools. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in project scheduling, project controls, project coordination, or related discipline. Working knowledge of Primavera P6 is required. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to proactively engage stakeholders and drive timely completion of deliverables. Experience with reporting, dashboards, analytics, and tools such as Power BI is considered an asset. Understanding project lifecycles and key project execution milestones is considered an asset.
