Wells Materials Logistics Manager

Wells Materials & Logistics Manager Responsibility for up to 6 people Location: 28/28 Rotation in Iraq Role Synopsis: The Wells Materials & Logistics Manager reports to the Well Engineering Manager (WEM). The role will be responsible for the management and coordination of the Wells Materials and Logistics team. Focal point for day-to-day logistics, services and materials support for all drilling, workover and ringless operations. A strong working relationship with PSCM, logistics, wells operation, QAQC and engineering teams. Plays a key role in strategic planning of equipment and services. Improvement and development of M&L forecasting, demand planning and tracking tools and processes to support increasing Wells department workloads. Key accountabilities: Lead the Wells M&L team by example with a strong commitment to HSE, efficiency, practicality, training and mentoring of Iraqi nationals. Develop and standardise workable Rumaila wells materials and logistics processes and plans. Accountability for cost control and inventory reporting. Strategic planning / demand forecasting for OCTG, tangibles and wellhead ordering. Tracking of all OCTG & Wellhead inventory and incoming shipments. SPA for Management and QA/QC of Wells documents within Sharecat [DMS system] in relation to both RSB Receipts & BOC Inspections. Identify and system input for Wells Requisitions [Maximo] Service Orders, contract call offs. Track all Material Shipment orders & call offs placed by the department to final close.  Cradle to grave approach. SPA for Management and QA/QC of Wells Inventory Data, Catalogue Requests, etc. within Maximo [Enterprise Asset Management Software] Focal CAM (Contract Administration Manager) for in country API machine shop contracts and liaise with inspection teams as required relating to operational requirements and priorities. Criteria & Qualifications: A minimum of 15 years’ experience in delivery of PSCM & Materials operations for large scale up-stream Drilling & Workover operations with strong demonstration of long lead strategic planning. Proven record of strong execution and delivery in a similar role. Ability and experience to develop, improve, rollout and implement new processes and procedures for continuous improvement of the M&L function. Strong knowledge of transport standards and guidelines. Strong knowledge of equipment and operations in land drilling, work over and well services operations. Strong team player with proven experience in a similar leadership role. A proven ability to coach, train and mentor local & international staff in best industry practices. Strong knowledge of safety and HSE requirements relating to logistics and transport in a similar Well’s environment. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate openly at all levels. Strong IT & Inventory Management Systems skills, and ability to move and digitalise processes where identified. Preference for knowledge of tendering, contract evaluation and acting as a contract CAM or technical SPA. Excellent interpersonal skills. Fluent in English language with strong communication skills is essential. Maintains a high standard of business integrity, professional behaviour and confidentiality. Experience of working in Middle East land-based environments is preferred. A flexible approach to work is essential.
