Duration: 12 months Location: Sabine Pass, TX Start date: 16th August 2026 Position Overview This opportunity is suited to a technically strong professional with planning experience in industrial maintenance, projects, and turnaround activity. The role will support planning and scheduling work within a regulated energy and process environment, helping to drive efficient execution, backlog control, and schedule performance. This position offers the chance to contribute to outage and project planning at site level while working closely with maintenance, construction, engineering, and operations teams. The I/E Planner will play an important part in improving work readiness, coordination, and compliance-focused delivery. Role Context This role is based at a terminal facility in Sabine Pass, Texas, within the energy and process sector. The position supports project and turnaround planning activities for site operations and maintenance functions, with collaboration across project, construction, engineering, and operations personnel. The working environment is technically demanding and compliance-focused, with an emphasis on planning accuracy, schedule control, and safe execution. Key Responsibilities Plan project and turnaround activities for the asset, developing and maintaining detailed work plans and schedules. Create job packs with all relevant information needed to support efficient execution of planned work. Coordinate work orders and schedules with project, construction, operations, and maintenance teams. Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly, and longer-term look-ahead schedules for expense and upgrade work. Support backlog maintenance, work prioritisation, and cost-conscious planning to enable effective response. Manage work dispatch coordination and manpower availability in conjunction with site supervision. Ensure work order documentation is complete and planning records are maintained to a high standard. Identify material requirements and liaise with vendors or supply chain contacts where required. Assist with KPI development and produce reports on schedule compliance, including analysis of deviations, trends, and variations. Contribute to procedure updates, procedure writing, training improvement, and budget support as required. Requirements: High school diploma or GED. 5+ years of maintenance experience in oil and gas or petrochemical facilities. Strong experience in planning, scheduling, and execution processes, procedures, and best practice. Solid understanding of instrumentation and electrical work, with a planning background relevant to the I/E Planner position. Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to prioritise work effectively and maintain strong attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to support a collaborative team environment. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of customer service, confidentiality, and ethical conduct. Valid driver’s licence. Ability to maintain a TWIC card in good standing. Technical degree or similar qualification. Experience with project planning software such as MS Project or Primavera P6. Scheduling software definition and build experience. Experience with Prometheus. Experience planning scaffolding, painting, insulating, rigging and lifting, welding, fabrication, machining, and work estimation activities. Experience working in a PHMSA regulated pipeline facility. Experience with gas compression and metering equipment.
