Job Title : Data Engineer Rate : Market Rate Location : Houston, TX Duration :3 months ( likely to extrend) Job Summary We are seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and big data solutions that enable advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making. This role will support the development of high-performance data platforms, working independently under broad supervision and collaborating with stakeholders across the business. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and manage data engineering solutions and pipelines of moderate to high complexity Build and optimize big data platforms that handle large volumes and high-velocity data Integrate multiple data sources to support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence needs Identify and implement modern development, testing, and deployment practices to deliver reliable data solutions Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze data, and define key performance indicators Support improvements to analytics and reporting platforms, ensuring data quality and usability Contribute to Agile delivery processes and participate in project planning and execution Influence stakeholders by presenting insights, analysis, and recommendations Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with future data growth needs Required Skills and Experience Strong experience in data engineering, including building and maintaining data pipelines Proficiency in designing and implementing big data architectures Experience with data modelling, integration, and transformation techniques Familiarity with Agile methodologies and iterative delivery Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
