We are looking for a Specialist Engineer Risk Analysis & CFD to join the Technical Safety & Analysis team. We are primarily looking for someone that will work out at our Fornebu or Stavanger office in Norway.
You will join a multidisciplinary team of highly skilled experts in technical safety, environmental studies, risk analysis, and flow/thermal modeling.

What will you be doing? As a key member of the team, you will:
Perform various types of studies and scopes related to risk analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), including but not limited to:
Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA)
Gas dispersion and accumulation (flammable, toxic, engine exhaust)
Fire & Gas detector mapping and optimization
Flare radiation and unignited gas dispersion analysis
Vent dispersion analysis
Fire and gas explosion analysis
Analysis of natural ventilation, wind chill temperature or pressure distribution at HVAC air intakes and outlets
Helideck availability analysis to assess turbulence and hot air exposure of helideck
SSIV assessment
Qualitative risk assessments
Work on studies and projects across all engineering project phases, from Feasibility/Concept to Detail Engineering and Operation/Modification.
Identify new opportunities, prepare tenders, and participate in internal and external activities to promote our services and offerings.
Work with Carbon Capture Storage and Utilization (CCUS), hydrogen, ammonia, low-carbon oil and gas, offshore wind, aquaculture, synthetic fuel production, defense and more.
Develop methods and tools, contribute in innovation initiatives, and mentor younger engineers.
Work as an integrated member of a larger multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team in Entr / Aker Solutions, or on work on smaller studies performed directly for the Client.
Lead QRA and studies and be project manager on smaller projects.
Contribute to shaping the future of risk analysis and CFD services in Entr and solving global energy challenges for future generations.
We think you should have:
Master degree (or higher) within engineering, physics and similar, with subjects related to one or more of the following fields: fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, process design, risk analysis, or physics, data analysis/AI.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Experience with technologies and processes related to one or more of the following: offshore wind, aquaculture, CCUS, ammonia, hydrogen, synthetic fuels, defense or oil and gas.
The ability and self-drive to learn new skills and acquire new knowledge, to share your knowledge and experience with others.
The ability to listen and to translate customer challenger into solutions.
Experience with handling customers and the ability and self-drive to identify new opportunities and engage with new potential clients (create new business)
The ability to work structured, have strong work ethics and be a positive contribution to our office environment.
The ability and self-drive to stay up to date on relevant methods and regulatory developments. Good understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and standards is an advantage.
Experience with CFD and risk analysis tools like in:Flux, FLACS, EFFECTS, Detect3D, Pyrosim/FDS or Star-CCM+, is an advantage.
Experience with AI tools and basic programming in Python, VBA, Power BI or similar is an advantage.
Fluent in English, both written and oral. Norwegian/Scandinavian language skills is an advantage.
