This role involves implementing and managing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of safety within the organization. Your responsibilities will include incident investigations and reports, inspections, and ensuring compliance with HSE standards in alignment with client, federal, state, and local regulations, as well as KBR policies and procedures. You will engage with various stakeholders, including services personnel, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies, interpreting standards, codes, and regulations. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and implementation of KBR values, systems, and standards, facilitating the collection and analysis of HSE statistics. Roles and Responsibilities The HSE Supervisor reports to the HSE Manager and oversees all aspects of the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) program and personnel. Assist in developing and implementing KBR health, safety, and environmental plans, policies, procedures, and guidelines. Perform inspections to ensure conformity in all areas of HSE. Organize and conduct audits, surveys, evaluations, inspections of company-operated properties to ensure compliance. Verify operations are conducted in compliance with KBR, USG, and host nation environmental standards. Interact with services personnel, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to research and interpret standards, codes, and regulations. Conduct incident investigations and create incident reports, assess mishap causes and risks, recommend and implement preventative/corrective actions to mitigate identified hazards/risks. Prepare reports and maintain records, reports, and documents to meet company or regulatory requirements. Stay informed of regulatory requirements and auditing standards. Review and approve HSE Plans of KBR subcontractors. Review, develop, and approve Statements of Work (SOW). Assist in the development and implementation of systems and standards for capturing and analyzing HSE statistics. Solve complex problems using detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices. Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members. Produce and support HSE education and training programs. Perform administrative functions to support Occupational Health, including administrative support for coordinating medical physicals for KBR direct hire and subcontractor personnel. Maintain patient confidentiality and provide a high level of employee service. Work under general and occasional direct supervision to perform assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within the HSE field. Be prepared to travel and work in austere environments. Perform other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications) Requires a Bachelor’s degree in occupational Health, Safety, Environmental, or a related field, and at least 4 years of directly related HSE experience. A High School Diploma and an additional 8 years of relevant experience in HSE professional role may be considered in lieu of a degree. Must have an in-depth knowledge of HSE programs, policies, procedures, and processes. Requires a strong understanding of applicable regulatory requirements. Must have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and improve processes. Able to work with little to no direct supervision. Requires experience mentoring junior team members. Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills. Extensive experience using Microsoft office applications. Must have a valid vehicle driver’s license and maintain its validity for the duration of employment Intermediate in English proficiency: Must be able to speak, read, and write in English at a intermediate level. Fluency in Albanian and possessing an unrestricted right to work and reside in Kosovo. Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages. Preferred Qualifications An OSHA 30 Hour General Industry or NEBOSH Certification. Advanced degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
