NES Fircroft are looking for an Onshore Project Control Lead to join a major operator in Baku, Azerbaijan. The Project Control Lead will oversee all project controls activities within the onshore package, ensuring effective management of cost, planning, contracts, documentation, and reporting in line with Company standards and best practices. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate project controls activities across cost, planning, contract administration, and reporting. Support preparation and maintenance of project-specific procedures and ensure compliance within the package. Implement and maintain robust cost control, planning, DCC, and contract management systems. Lead budget preparation, revisions (including LTP), and ongoing cost monitoring. Coordinate project schedules and contractor work time schedules, ensuring alignment and progress control. Manage post-award contract administration through to close-out, including variation management and change control. Monitor contractor invoicing and validate progress against contractual terms. Maintain and review contractor risk registers, ensuring timely mitigation actions. Ensure accurate, timely reporting and effective document control (including MDR tracking). Liaise with other project packages and functions to ensure consistency and information flow. Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement. Ensure full compliance with HSE requirements and promote a strong safety culture. Key Accountabilities Deliver full project controls oversight for the onshore package (cost, schedule, contracts, documentation, reporting). Ensure adherence to Company rules, procedures, and project governance. Identify and escalate deviations from plan, cost, or contractual commitments. Project Context The role supports a large onshore development in Azerbaijan (~70 km from Baku), including: Gas treatment plant (450 MMSCFD capacity) Onshore pipelines and crossings Brownfield modifications and tie-ins to third-party facilities Multinational contractor environment Requirements Degree in Engineering or equivalent. 15+ years’ experience in major oil & gas projects. 10+ years in project controls or equivalent senior role. Strong expertise in contract management, cost control, planning, and change management. Proven experience with EPC contractors and complex project environments. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Fluent English (mandatory) Willingness to travel internationally to contractor locations.
