NESF is supporting one of the Global OFS companies who are looking for a Logistics Specialist to join their Supply and Logistics Team in Jandakot on an initial 12-month contract. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Specialist is responsible for execute end-to-end logistics that ensure on-time delivery, cost optimization, and operational efficiency. The Logistics Specialist is required to support the day-to-day operations in line with the Supply & Logistics team priorities. The expectation is that the position holder will have strong knowledge of international logistics movement, customs clearance and transport preferably with background in the oil & gas, mining, oil, supply or transport industries. Essential Responsibilities: To manage transportation and related logistics of goods and services to and from internal and/or external customers/suppliers. Optimizing freight modes, routes, and carrier selection to improve efficiency and service levels. Ensuring compliance with import/export regulations, company policies, and global trade requirements. Tracking and analyzing logistics KPIs such as cost per shipment, transit times, and service levels to drive performance improvements (OTD/OTC). Liaise with internal customers, suppliers and customs clearance and transport companies to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently Performs all specialist duties under limited supervision, reviews analyzes and recommends transportation and distribution methods and procedures to develop and utilize the most economically advantageous and efficient means of delivering the organization's products. Manages more complex shipments such as hazardous material shipments, highly urgent and multi-modal shipments to meet client deadlines. Qualifications/Requirements: Minimum 5 + years of full-time logistics experience with oil & gas or similar experience required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED) Extensive knowledge of transportation/distribution methods and procedures, and the effective means of carriage for trade lanes initiating or terminating in the local countries; familiarity with all modes of carriage. Expertise on local customs practices and procedures; detailed understanding of special local requirements for dangerous goods, permit for radioactive sources and explosives; awareness of how to use local duty reduction/exemption regimes (such as free trade agreement (FTA), tariff concession Order (TCO), duty drawback) and the systems required to stay completely compliant while operating under such regimes. Familiarity with local freight forwarders and customs brokers, and typical fees, services, and rates Familiarity with FCPA, logistics, and trade compliance policies, tools, and guidelines appearing on Interchange Willingness to learn and apply advanced import regulatory requirements relating to classification, valuation, origin, the import clearance process, trade programs, and trade agreements Willingness to learn and apply FCPA compliance guidelines as they relate to logistics operations Ability to interpret and apply import and export requirements to operative facts Developed problem solving ability and time management skills Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP an advantage) Good computer literacy, MS Office suite Good communication (written & verbal), organizational, literacy and numeracy skills. *Applicants must have full AU work rights to be considered* With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, Chemicals, Construction & Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and Manufacturing sectors worldwide.
