Job Summary:
The Product Senior Sales Specialist is responsible for driving market development, strategic sales growth, and solution positioning for product portfolio across Malaysia.
This role leads customer engagement and revenue expansion across key sectors including utilities, industrial plants, water authorities, EPC contractors, data centres, semiconductor facilities, and renewable energy projects.
Acting as the technical–commercial expert, the Product Senior Sales Specialist supports strategic account development, product positioning, and complex solution sales while working closely with engineering, project, and leadership teams to deliver value-driven solutions and achieve revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive product sales strategy, market penetration, and revenue growth for assigned product lines.
• Lead customer engagements with consultants, EPCs, system integrators, and end-users, providing high-level technical and commercial guidance.
• Conduct solution presentations, site assessments, and power quality diagnostics to identify customer needs and propose optimal configurations.
• Develop and refine product value propositions, competitive positioning, and sector-specific sales pitches.
• Support tendering teams with solution design, compliance checks, BOQ validation, and pricing strategy.
• Collaborate with OEM partners to align product roadmaps, certifications, and technical support requirements.
• Track market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory developments to guide product strategy.
• Build strong relationships with clients and drive long-term account development plans.
• Represent at industry events, exhibitions, and technical seminars.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline visibility, and performance reporting.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in technical sales, product management, or business development within electrical infrastructure, power systems, or industrial automation solutions.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets, managing key accounts, and delivering revenue growth.
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, power quality solutions, switchgear, transformers, capacitor banks, or related electrical equipment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and commercial stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, CRM platforms, and basic engineering software tools (e.g., AutoCAD or equivalent tools).
• Possess own transport and a valid driving licence
• Willing to travel across Malaysia and occasionally overseas, if required, for client meetings, site visits, and project support (approximately 40–50% travel)
Key Competencies
• Strong understanding of MV/HV equipment, capacitor banks, CTR and monitoring software, such as DGA and PDMS.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key accounts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and basic engineering tools.
• Willingness to travel for customer visits, site assessments, and industry events.
• Strong technical depth with commercial agility.
• Strategic thinking with ability to shape product direction and market positioning.
• Customer centric mindset with consultative selling approach.
