Terminal Operator

We're seeking an experienced and safety-focused Terminal Operator II to join a major fuel terminal operation based in Silverwater. This is an excellent opportunity for an operations professional with terminal, logistics, or bulk fuel handling experience to play a key role in the safe receipt, storage, and distribution of products across the site. Working within a high-performing team, you'll support day-to-day terminal operations, coordinate contractors and drivers, assist with maintenance activities, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with operational and regulatory requirements. About the Role As a Terminal Operator II, you'll be responsible for the safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of products while supporting terminal reliability and operational performance. You'll work closely with site personnel, contractors, the Control Centre, and third-party stakeholders to ensure efficient operations, inventory integrity, and a strong focus on safety and compliance. Key Responsibilities • Support the receipt, storage, and distribution of products and additives. • Coordinate contractors and drivers, ensuring compliance with site safety requirements. • Act as a liaison between the Control Centre, site operations, and third-party stakeholders. • Support inventory management and measurement activities. • Coordinate site projects and operational improvement initiatives. • Assist with meter proving, maintenance activities, and operational troubleshooting. • Ensure compliance with permit-to-work processes and safety procedures. • Direct contractor activities and maintain regulatory compliance. • Maintain accurate operational records and documentation. • Contribute to site safety, environmental, and operational excellence objectives. About You To be successful in this role, you'll bring: • Previous experience as a Terminal Operator or within a similar industrial operations environment. • Knowledge of terminal operations, product handling, and measurement practices. • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability. • Demonstrated leadership and the ability to work independently. • Secondary/High School qualification or equivalent. • Valid Australian Driver's Licence. • Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and environmental standards.
