Role overview We are seeking a highly experienced and forward-thinking Market Development Manager to lead the execution of market strategy and development of the market understanding to identify opportunities in the Structural Materials space for ExxonMobil. This role combines deep domain expertise, innovation leadership, and operational excellence to develop new business opportunities, market understanding and commercial relationships. What you will do Responsible for establishing vision and direction for the assigned market segment, driving its development and growth in alignment with the overall business strategy for the Carbon-rich Products Platform. By working individually or leading cross-functional teams, they identify enhance segment expertise for the team, develop new solutions and build long-term competitive advantages for the targeted market segment. CPC in aluminum anodes involves a deep understanding of the calcined petcoke market and CPC applications in the used of CPC in aluminum anodes. Segment Strategy Development: Develop segment strategy with detailed execution plans including pipeline targets, channel strategy, value chain engagements, marketing communications activities, trade show participation, and key customer engagement plans Value Chain Engagement: Lead, develop, and strengthen value chain engagement and influence key decision makers on solutions in line with segment strategy Value Proposition Development: Create and maintain detailed competitor profiles and comparative analyses, integrating insights into the segment’s value proposition with timely updated Value in Use (ViU) Cross-functional Collaboration: Guide cross functional teams in planning and completing new market development projects About you Capabilities and Experience: B.S. degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field 10+ years experience in the commercialization of engineered plastics & composites Application and market development experience Product technical experience Experience in new product and new market development Unique aptitudes: Creative, unconstrained clear thinker Motivating and inspiring, passionate about creating new opportunities A recognized business entrepreneur – able to see business value in new concepts outside of the base businesses comfort zone, translates new ideas into a clear vision, develop a compelling narrative to explains new areas of competitive advantage and value capture Exudes courage of conviction Comfortable developing relationships with atypical business partners and counter parties Loves new technology, but is more excited by new businesses, markets and the possibility of deploying new technologies to grow the business Your benefits An ExxonMobil career is one designed to last.
