Position: Power and Automation Engineer Position Info: Work Location: Base Office (30 km away from the city centre) Position Schedule: ASAP, 1 year renewable Qualifications & Experience: Education: Higher education; Years of Working Experience: min 3 years of experience in a similar role within Oil and Gas Construction area Knowledge of Languages: English (fluent), Azerbaijani (fluent) Other Skills/Capabilities/Certificates Required: Capability to perform electrical maintenance activities as per work instruction and provided guidelines. Capability to organize and prepare a worksite, including but not limited to tooling selection, scope of work review, HSE analysis and workflow reporting. Knowledge of electrical systems. Capability to carry out electrical inspections and maintenance and analyse electrical breakdowns. Responsibilities: • Provide specialized technical support in Power, Electrical, Automation and Dynamic Positioning (DP) systems to support the development, maintenance, upgrade and lifecycle management of offshore vessels and equipment. Ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective execution of projects in compliance with Company, Client, Classification Society and international standards; • Provide technical support to Operations, Commercial, Supply Chain and Asset departments to identify vessel and equipment requirements related to Power, Electrical, Automation and Dynamic Positioning systems; • Develop feasibility studies, technical proposals, conceptual designs, engineering packages and Scope of Work (SOW) for vessel upgrades, modifications, new installations and various project equipment spread mobilization; • Review, comment and approve engineering deliverables, including electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, layouts, cable schedules, load calculations, control philosophies and vendor documentation, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, Class requirements and project objectives; • Lead the technical evaluation of vendor offers (TBE), participate in bid clarification meetings and support supplier selection in coordination with Procurement and Supply Chain departments; • Prepare or Review procurement documentation including Material Requisitions (MR), Purchase Requisitions (PR), technical specifications and Bills of Materials (BOM), and provide technical support throughout the procurement process; • Perform technical follow-up of purchase orders, vendor documentation, manufacturing progress, inspection activities and delivery schedules to ensure compliance with project requirements; • Coordinate engineering interfaces between internal disciplines, vendors, clients, shipyards and Classification Societies during all project phases; • Provide technical follow-up during detailed engineering, manufacturing, Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), commissioning, sea trials and final project close-out; • Support prefabrication plants and shipyards on electrical power distribution, automation and control systems, ensuring compliance with approved engineering documentation and commissioning procedures; • Participate in onboard surveys, troubleshooting, maintenance campaigns, equipment assessments and modernization projects, providing practical engineering solutions. • Develop and maintain technical documentation including as-built drawings, engineering dossiers, operation manuals, commissioning reports, technical queries and project documentation registers, ensuring proper document control and traceability; • Ensure compliance with Company Quality Management System (QMS), project specifications, client requirements, Classification Society rules and applicable international standards throughout engineering, procurement and execution phases; • Promote standardization of electrical, automation and control systems, hardware, software and cybersecurity practices to improve reliability, maintainability and lifecycle support; • Fully adhere, at all times and irrespective of the work place, to Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) policies, procedures and requirements; • Perform other related duties as assigned by Superior.
