Maintenance Technician

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Work with Maintenance Manager and/or Facility Manager to establish a program to eliminate downtime in trouble areas. Repair production equipment safely and as quickly as possible after a breakdown Work on assigned projects Fabricate and install new equipment Maintain machinery according to Preventative Maintenance Program Troubleshoot equipment Utilize safe work habits Wear appropriate PPE Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines and procedures Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines and procedures Other duties as assigned EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent Background in fabrication, mechanical and electrical repair with use of shop tools JOB REQUIREMENTS Forklift certification/license Ability to work overtime as required BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES Dependability/Attendance Problem solving/Judgement TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES’ Ability to read precision gauges Ability to use hand tools correctly and safely Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties as required Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to read drawings, instructions or repair and assembly operations PHYSICAL/NON-PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to work overtime as required Standing up to 12 hours daily Walking up to 12 hours daily Bending/Stooping up to 12 hours daily Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) up to 12 hours daily Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. regularly Push/Pull up to 12 hours daily Competitive Benefits: (visit usbenefits.nov.com for more information about our benefits offerings) 401(k) Retirement Plan – NOV matches every dollar up to 5% of base pay and overtime for every dollar you invest.
