Principal Environmental Consultant Environmental Specialist Permits Licensing

Our client is currently recruiting for the positions of Principal Environmental Consultant and Environmental Specialist-Permits & Licensing. These are permanent positions based in Aberdeen. These are excellent opportunities to work within a busy and well established team and will offer the chance to be involved in some interesting and diverse workscopes. I would be keen to hear from candidates with varying levels of experience within the Environmental function in the UK Oil, Gas and Energy industry. Responsibilities: Working as a key senior member of our Permits & Licensing team, you will provide support to a diverse portfolio of oil and gas projects from project concept through to decommissioning. Depending on your experience, you will act as a project manager and/or project sponsor across a range of operators, taking the lead client contact role on a day-to-day basis and guiding consultants within the team to deliver challenging projects on time and within budget. At times, there may also be a business need for you to undertake secondments with our oil and gas clients. Additionally, you will be responsible for report writing and client liaison, helping to drive high-quality delivery, with support from other senior consultants. Experience & Qualifications: Significant demonstrated professional experience in oil and gas permitting (including term and life chemical permitting) Knowledge of offshore energy industries Degree level training in a relevant discipline e.g., environment, chemistry, engineering Eligible to work in the United Kingdom Good understanding of the offshore legislation and involvement in reviewing and consulting on relevant legislation Attendance at technical working groups in previous role You will know how to engage effectively with stakeholders.
