Cost Control Lead

Hiring: Cost Control Lead – Restoration Project | Doha, Qatar Location: Doha - Ras Laffan - Qatar Contract Type: Long-Term Contract Work Type: 100% Onshore Rotation: 12 Weeks ON / 2 Weeks OFF Working Days: 6 Days per Week Working Hours: 8–10 Hours per Day Job Purpose We are seeking an experienced Cost Control Lead to provide strategic cost control, funding governance, forecasting, budget stewardship, and project controls leadership for a high-profile Restoration Project in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding project funding, maintaining cost visibility, managing budgets, forecasts, reporting systems, and supporting project leadership with accurate financial and commercial insights. Key Responsibilities ✅ Lead cost control activities across EPC and reimbursable contract packages. ✅ Monitor labor utilization, timesheets, expenditures, and project cost performance. ✅ Manage Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS). ✅ Develop project budgets, forecasts, and annual Work Program & Budget (WP&B). ✅ Prepare Cost at Completion (CAC) forecasts and financial reports. ✅ Review contractor progress claims, VOWD and Earned Value data. ✅ Evaluate trends, contingencies, commitments, and budget impacts. ✅ Implement cost tracking tools and resource monitoring systems. ✅ Support tender evaluations and commercial bid assessments. ✅ Identify potential cost overruns and develop mitigation strategies. Requirements ✔ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Business, Commercial, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Project Management, or related discipline. ✔ Minimum 8 years of relevant experience. ✔ Minimum 4 years within the Oil & Gas industry. ✔ Experience on major EPC projects from an Owner or PMC perspective. ✔ Strong knowledge of: Cost Control Cost Forecasting Earned Value Management (EVM) Budget Development WP&B Preparation VOWD Change Management Risk Management Contractor Cost Control Resource Tracking ✔ Experience using: SAP ERP Oracle ERP Primavera Project Controls Systems ✔ Excellent reporting, analytical, and communication skills.
