Job Family Group: Marketing Group Job Description: The Pricing Analyst is responsible for maintaining and implementing product pricing strategies across multiple customer channels and lubricant product lines. The role manages pricing data in SAP and related systems, ensuring compliance with financial governance standards while supporting Sales, Finance, Operations, Marketing, and customers. Key responsibilities include pricing analysis, market and competitor monitoring, price implementation, reporting, process improvement, and system optimization. The Pricing Analyst works multi-functionally to translate business objectives into pricing actions, resolve pricing issues, and provide insights that drive revenue, profitability, and pricing performance. Implement and maintain product and customer pricing within pricing/ERP systems, including price changes, product setup, and discount/rebate structures, ensuring alignment with governance frameworks. Support price change execution processes in SAP ECC/ERP systems, including identifying impacted customers and products, performing changes (using existing or creating templates) and validation checks to ensure accurate implementation. Translate commercial strategies and business objectives into accurate, system-ready pricing instructions. Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer behavior to identifyopportunities for pricing optimization. Complete pricing changes to optimize volume, revenue, and profitability. Develop pricing strategies to support new and existing products. Develop and maintain pricing frameworks across customers, products, and channels within Castrol’s strategic and operational pricing environments, including list price, discounts, promotions, surcharges, and rebates. Perform pricing analysis on volume, price, discount, rebate, and cost components to support financial performance insights and business decision-making. Build and maintain financial and data models and reports (Excel required; Power BI preferred) to analyze price/discount/margin relationships, margin performance, and pricing scenarios (e.g., variance analysis across price waterfalls). Develop dashboards and reporting (Power BI or equivalent) to provide awareness of pricing performance, targets, and key commercial insights for partners. Identify, investigate, and resolve pricing system issues, conflicts, and data inconsistencies; advance and recommend solutions as needed. Partner multi-functionally with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to understand commercial objectives of price changes and report and summarize change outcomes. Understand and report information in a language consistent with a P&L, including gross revenue, discounts, rebates, allowances, net revenue, COGS, gross profit, and operating expenses. Drive continuous improvement by identifying automation opportunities, simplifying processes, and enhancing pricing system capabilities. Ability to improve pricing-change speed-to-market is key. Document pricing processes and support knowledge transfer to ensure continuity and operational resilience. Support development and evaluation of customer offers by providing pricing analysis, profitability insights, and reporting outputs for various B2B and B2B2C routes to market. Additional responsibilities include: Pricing System Thought Leadership - ability to identify, recommend, and drive improvement efforts. Technical knowledge resource - able to consult, solve, and recommend pricing system solutions whenever there are business or system inquiries. Able to prioritize objectives when there are competing priorities. Able to identify areas of high value automation to reduce the complexity/increase pricing speed to market. Able to make judgement calls on pricing recommendations, especially where there’s multiple sources of information affecting the decision. Education Bachelor of Data Science, Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Engineering Experience demonstrated ability in Pricing or closely related function 3+ years of SAP ECC/ERP system hands-on execution experience Highly skilled in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Power BI or similar data model and dashboard building experience Skills & Competencies Ability to take charge and lead multi-functional teams. Native English fluency or equivalent proficiency Good interpersonal and communication skills. Strong time management skills. Ability to actively promote team spirit, build networks, seek & offer guideline, & demonstrate shared commitment to team success.
