We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source a Head of Quality. This is a long-term contract role. Please see details below. Title: Head of Quality Start Date: ASAP (typically within 1 month notice) Location: Oman Onshore Working Schedule: 6 days per week / 8-10 hours per day or as per project requirement --Experience Required— Key Job Accountabilities • Maintain interfaces with Yard Fabrication team to ensure that quality issues are resolved promptly and effectively • Coordinate with the Welding & NDE inspectors to ensure that welding related quality issues are identified, communicated and rectified • Liaise with Systems Completion team to ensure that inspection records are aligned with and support systems completion • Provide feedback on quality issues; expedite closure of lessons learned; provide feedback on quality performance generally • Actively participate in safety management programs including attendance at site safety walks and issuance of observation cards • Providing continual communication, reporting and close coordination with the Head of Quality (COMP2/5 & COMP3) and Site Manager in Sohar yard on the quality performance of the EPC Contractor, Subcontractors and Vendors • Conduct other quality related tasks as directed by the Quality Division Manager • Manage site non-conformance and technical deviations in close collaboration with the Head of Quality and Site engineering team. • Lessons Learned process to continuously capture quality learnings from fabrication activities and to use them to develop and optimise process or specification improvements • Identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required. --Minimum Requirements-- Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences or Engineering • Additional quality, welding or NDE inspection related qualifications Knowledge and Key Skills • 10 years’ experience in Quality in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 2 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
