Job Title: Senior HSE Engineer – Offshore Topside Project KBR is growing its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for an exciting, high‑profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The ADNOC PMC project role would be based initially in Contractors Office in Abu Dhabi for some time till administrative process is completed and the candidate will be then moving outside UAE ( to an Asian Country FEED location ) for 6 – 8 months and then returning to UAE. The project duration is until 2028 with possible extension. Job Purpose Provide expert Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) support to ADNOC Offshore operations by ensuring compliance with ADNOC HSE standards, UAE regulatory requirements, and international best practices. Lead the implementation of HSE management systems, risk assessments, audits, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve safe and environmentally responsible operations. Key Responsibilities HSE Management & Compliance Ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE Management System (HSEMS), Company Codes of Practice (CoPs), and UAE regulations. Monitor implementation of HSE policies, procedures, standards, and operational controls across offshore facilities. Support management in achieving HSE objectives, targets, and KPIs. Provide technical HSE advice to operations, maintenance, engineering, and project teams. Risk Management Lead and facilitate HAZID, HAZOP, Bowtie, JSA, TRA, and other risk assessment studies. Review and evaluate operational risks and recommend mitigation measures. Monitor implementation of risk controls and verify effectiveness. Incident Investigation Lead investigations of incidents, near-misses, environmental events, and unsafe acts. Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and develop corrective and preventive actions. Ensure timely reporting and close-out of incidents. Audits & Inspections Plan and execute HSE audits, inspections, and compliance assessments. Track audit findings and ensure corrective action closure. Participate in contractor HSE performance evaluations and assessments. Environmental Management Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and ADNOC environmental requirements. Monitor waste management, emissions, spill prevention, and environmental protection programs. Support environmental risk assessments and sustainability initiatives. Emergency Response Support emergency preparedness and response planning. Participate in emergency drills and exercises. Review emergency procedures and recommend improvements. Training & Awareness Deliver HSE awareness programs and toolbox talks. Mentor junior HSE personnel and develop workforce HSE competency. Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization. Contractor HSE Management Monitor contractor compliance with ADNOC HSE requirements. Review contractor HSE plans, risk assessments, and performance reports. Conduct contractor audits and site evaluations. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related discipline. NEBOSH International Diploma or equivalent professional HSE qualification. ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification preferred. ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification preferred. Membership in relevant professional bodies (IOSH, IIRSM, ASSP, etc.) is an advantage. KBR — Delivering Solutions, Changing the World.
