Title: IT Hardware Asset Management Specialist (HAM) KBR is seeking an IT Hardware Asset Management Specialist to manage the complete lifecycle of enterprise IT hardware assets across the organization. This role is responsible for asset procurement support, inventory management, deployment coordination, lifecycle tracking, compliance reporting, asset recovery, and secure disposition activities. The successful candidate will ensure hardware assets are accurately tracked, governed, and optimized throughout their lifecycle while supporting operational efficiency, audit readiness, and cost management initiatives. Working closely with IT Operations, Service Desk, Procurement, Finance, Security, and business stakeholders, this position plays a critical role in maintaining asset visibility, improving asset utilization, supporting technology refresh programs, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and industry best practices. In September 2025, KBR announced that we are spinning our Mission Technology Solutions business into a separate public company. This role will ultimately be part of the new company. The Mission Technology Solutions business partners with governments and defense, intelligence, space, aviation, and critical infrastructure customers to deliver high-end engineering, science, technology, and mission support solutions. Key Responsibilities Manage the lifecycle of IT hardware assets, including procurement, deployment, reassignment, maintenance, recovery, and disposal. Maintain accurate asset inventory records and ensure data integrity within asset management systems. Perform inventory audits, reconciliations, and asset tracking activities to ensure compliance and accountability. Coordinate hardware deployments, refresh programs, device replacements, and employee asset assignments. Monitor inventory levels and partner with Procurement and vendors to support hardware purchasing, repairs, and warranty management. Support employee onboarding and offboarding asset processes, including asset recovery and return tracking. Coordinate secure disposal and recycling activities while ensuring compliance with data destruction requirements. Generate asset inventory, lifecycle, and compliance reports to support operational and audit requirements. Support internal and external audits by maintaining appropriate documentation and asset records. Collaborate with Service Desk, Desktop Support, Security, Procurement, Finance, and other stakeholders to support asset management processes. Identify opportunities to improve asset tracking, inventory controls, and lifecycle management practices. Basic Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. 3+ years of experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), IT Operations, Inventory Management, or a related discipline. Experience managing IT hardware inventories, asset lifecycle processes, and inventory control activities. Experience using ITAM tools and asset management platforms such as ServiceNow, Intune, SCCM/MECM, Lansweeper, Flexera, or similar solutions. Knowledge of hardware procurement, asset tracking, governance, and compliance practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools; experience with Power BI is a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives. Preferred Qualifications ITIL Foundation, CHAMP, or similar asset management certification. Experience with ServiceNow Asset Management, Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, Lansweeper, Flexera, or similar platforms. Experience with Power BI or other reporting and dashboard tools. Familiarity with SOX, ISO, or other compliance and audit frameworks. Knowledge of vendor management, procurement processes, and hardware lifecycle planning.
