Texas, United States of America Job Family Group: Trading Jobs Worker Type: Regular Posting Start Date: July 28, 2026 Business Unit: Trading and Supply Experience Level: Experienced Professionals Job Description: What’s the role The role is for a Gasoline Trader in Shell Trading US as part of the Global Gasoline Trading team and Global Products Trading. The scope of the role will cover regional and global trading activities for Gasoline, reporting to the Regional Manager Trading Gasoline. What you’ll be doing Identify trading opportunities, negotiate and execute profitable trades Develop new business in close cooperation with originators and other Trading desks Establish strong customer relationships Work closely with Supply groups, Retail, and Manufacturing teams to understand E2E economics and uncover optimizations to unlock value Optimize the flows of gasoline via our relevant tankage operations Work arbitrages of finished grades and components between trading regions Proactively exchange information and ideas with the rest of the Global Mogas Trading team and other trading desks Gather information and data about the market and feed this into analysis to build a better forward view of the market Develop a clear understanding of the key drivers of the various markets and communicate these in such terminology that all other interested internal parties have a sound understanding of the direction of the markets Work with the local freight team and Quality Assurance Group on shipping, logistics, and handling issues to minimize profit leakage Develop hedging strategies to lock in profitable physical trades as well as developing forward views to contribute to speculative paper positions Update and monitor Endur to ensure the book of record always correctly reflects the book's Mark to Market and Exposure Develop new business models and work across lines of businesses to grow E2E Shell businesses Mentor junior traders and other staff, fostering their development and growth within the organization What you bring The candidate must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full- time basis Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required At least 5 years’ relevant experience in gasoline blending, arbitrage and all elements of the supply chain Strong understanding of derivatives, futures, fundamentals of financial market Knowledge of refining economics, refinery processing and blending operations Understanding of freight economics, logistics and transportation Strong communication and networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across a broad range of stakeholders Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills The successful candidate is expected to: Be highly motivated to develop the business and be a hard-working individual Be a confident and enthusiastic team player with good interpersonal skills Have a proven track record of being able to build strong relationships and business with third parties Demonstrate a strong focused on bottom line profitability Perform under extreme time pressure in a stressful trading environment Be highly numerate with good analytical capacities Have excellent attention to detail Be able to multi-task What we offer The base salary range for this position is $184,000 - $276,000 per year. Individual pay will be based on various factors such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity. For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents. Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives.
