Head of SHES

We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source a Head of SHES. This is a long-term contract role. Please see details below. Title: Head of SHES Start Date: ASAP (typically within 1 month notice) Location: Onshore (Doha HQ/Qatar Site) Working Schedule: 6 days per week / 8-10 hours per day or as per project requirement --Experience Required— Key Job Accountabilities • Lead the Project SHES strategy and governance framework. • Ensure compliance with client SHES Management System and regulatory requirements. • Direct contractor SHES performance management and assurance programmes. • Provide SHES leadership to Project Management and Operations. • Lead strategic risk management and critical risk control verification. • Approve Project SHES Plans, procedures and assurance programmes. • Lead major incident investigations and organisational learning. • Develop SHES capability, succession planning and leadership coaching. • Drive workforce engagement, worker welfare and positive safety culture. • Promote continuous improvement and SHES excellence throughout project execution. --Minimum Requirements-- Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in sciences, safety, health, environment security, or engineering Knowledge and Key Skills • 10 years’ experience in SHES in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
