Installation Lead

Installation Lead Position Overview Airswift is recruiting for an Installation Lead on behalf of a third-party company operating in the energy sector. This Installation Lead opportunity sits within a technically demanding engineering environment focused on complex project execution and offshore transportation and installation activities. The Installation Lead will play a key role in planning, coordinating and overseeing engineering and operational delivery across multiple projects, while ensuring safe and effective execution. This Installation Lead position offers the chance to contribute to major project delivery in a role with significant technical scope and leadership responsibility. Role Context This role is based within the energy industry and supports major Oil & Gas project delivery. The position is focused on offshore transportation and installation, with involvement across project planning, engineering reviews, operational execution and tender input in a complex project environment. Key Responsibilities Plan, lead and supervise resources across multiple projects to ensure engineering deliverables are achieved in line with project requirements. Take responsibility for onshore construction and offshore installation activities, remaining fully aligned with scope of work, technical requirements, project schedules and material or equipment status. Coordinate constructability and installation reviews to support effective project execution. Review technical procedures related to erection, layout, lifting, load out, sea fastening and offshore installation activities. Support project planning and contribute to subcontract package preparation where work is to be outsourced. Ensure engineering and drafting activities are carried out in accordance with specifications and schedule, including prioritisation and authorisation of construction, installation and as-built drawings. Review and approve installation procedures and engineering deliverables to support safe execution and sound engineering practice. Supervise Operation and Field Engineers in project planning, offshore execution and preparation of material lists. Resolve technical issues arising during offshore installation and support corrective actions where required. Provide technical input to the tender process and advise design engineers on offshore operations requirements during the design phase. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum or Marine Engineering from a recognised higher learning institution. Essential: Registration with the Board of Engineering Malaysia (BEM). Essential: Experience as a Field Engineer, Senior Field Engineer and Operations Engineer. Essential: Project experience across contract types such as T&I and EPCIC. Essential: Experience in offshore transportation and installation methodology and execution. Essential: Familiarity with offshore transportation and installation software including MOSES, SACS, Orcaflex, StaadPro, OFFPIPE, ANSYS and AutoCAD. Essential: Knowledge of relevant engineering industry codes such as ASME, API, ASTM, ISO and DNV. Essential: Strong written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. Essential: Strong leadership, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and work effectively across departments and with clients. Essential: Strong attention to detail, proactive approach, resource planning capability and ability to work to tight schedules with limited resources.
