Roughneck Drill Rig Floor Hand

Key Responsibilities Support safe and efficient rig-floor operations on the VR-330 land drilling rig during shift operations. Assist with commissioning and startup of the new VR-330 rig, including pre-start checks, equipment familiarisation and operational readiness activities. Work under the direction of the Driller and Toolpusher to complete assigned rig-floor efficiently. Assist with tripping pipe, making and breaking connections, tubular handling and drill string management. Support drilling activities in accordance with approved drilling programs, procedures and supervisor instructions. Assist with downhole tool deployment, retrieval and handling during directional drilling operations. Monitor rig-floor equipment condition and report hazards, defects or operational issues to the Driller. Assist with drilling fluids, mud system support and general rig maintenance as directed. Participate in pre-start inspections, shift handovers, toolbox talks and required safety interactions. Support basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and maintain productivity. Assist with rig mobilisation, rig-up and rig-down activities as required. Maintain high housekeeping standards and contribute to a strong team culture focused on safety, accountability and performance.
