Field Specialist I ALS Do you have a strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in building a career within the oil and gas industry? Fueling your passion: As a Field Specialist I, you will assist in the installation, startup, testing, and retrieval of Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) systems and associated equipment in oil and water wells. Working under direct supervision, you will support field operations to maximize well productivity and equipment run life while ensuring compliance with Baker Hughes HSE standards and operational procedures. This entry-level role provides an excellent opportunity to develop technical expertise through hands-on field experience and product line training. Partnering with the best: You will work closely with experienced Field Specialists, Service Delivery teams, Operations personnel, and customers to execute safe and efficient field operations. Through collaboration and continuous learning, you will contribute to successful installations, equipment reliability, and customer satisfaction across domestic and international projects. As a Field Specialist I, you will be responsible for: Assisting with the installation, startup, and pulling of Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) systems and associated equipment. Supporting downhole testing and troubleshooting activities to optimize well productivity and ESP performance. Maintaining and managing field equipment, tools, and equipment pools to ensure operational readiness. Participating in field service activities at customer locations, including onshore and offshore sites. Performing basic equipment inspections, maintenance, and operational checks under supervision. Preparing accurate field reports, service documentation, and operational records. Following all Baker Hughes Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. Supporting inventory control and handling of hazardous substances and equipment as required. Collaborating effectively with customers, field crews, and internal teams to ensure successful job execution. Participating in special projects and carrying out additional duties as assigned. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Have a High School Diploma or equivalent; a two-year Technical Degree or Diploma is preferred. Have general knowledge of the oil and gas industry. Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn technical equipment and processes. Have good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Be willing and able to travel frequently on domestic and international assignments, often at short notice. Be comfortable working in challenging field environments, including onshore and offshore locations. Have oilfield experience (preferred but not mandatory, as this is an entry-level role).
