What role you will play in our team
Champion flow assurance and well research operations - pilot unit operations (mid-scale fluid flow loops, benchtop autoclaves, high pressure fluid systems ) and sample analysis for R&D and business.
Support research programs involving simulating field conditions test operations and configuration changes including optimization, troubleshooting and maintenance.
Provide sample analysis including, but is not limited to: filtration, mass balance, fluid partitioning and fluid properties (density, pH, UV/Vis).
About you
Skills & Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. science degree (geochemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, or related fields) with emphasis on analytical separation.
Hands-on experience with high pressure, high temperature fluid flow systems such as gas lift, hydrocarbon recirculation loop, fluid restoration, fluid reactors, high pressure rheology and including analyses, data processing and instrument maintenance.
Recognize process upsets and trouble shoot solutions to maintain unit stability.
Attention to detail and the ability to follow proper lab procedures and uphold good housekeeping practices in a lab environment.
Ability to use motorized equipment (pallet jack), mechanical lifting devices (crane or forklift) and hand tools.
Willingness to be involved in research that is highly exploratory in nature and may support programs within division and affiliate organizations.
Good communication skills for understanding and describing scientific observations, experimental plans and results, equipment and material design concepts.
Ability to quickly learn new tasks and integrate them into workflows.
Organized, punctual, and takes full responsibility for laboratory procedural compliance and safe laboratory operations including equipment maintenance, chemical and supply ordering, chemical inventory, safe handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals.
Effective in a team working environment, enjoys challenges, and committed to lifelong learning.
Strictly adhere to SOPs and Run Plans for different pilot unit configurations, methods and workflows.
Comfortable and confident in working with solvents and chemicals.
Experience in working in pilot and analytical lab environments.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Experience with pressure delivering pumps including Quizix, Isco, MaxPro, Vindum, and LabView data acquisition and processing software.
Experience with flow controls systems including Vinci, Parijat, LabView and flow controllers.
Experience with pilot unit devices such as autoclave, extractors and fluid transport pumps (dynamic and positive displacement).
Experience in high pressure instrument components (Autoclaves, DOT cylinders, OFITE,) and treatment methods including evaporation, dilutions and basic chemistry.
