Role Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Bunker Scheduler to coordinate and optimize marine fuel delivery operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning bunker deliveries, managing vessel schedules, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of bunkering activities.
While experience in LNG bunkering is preferred, we welcome candidates with strong experience in marine bunkering operations, bunker scheduling, vessel planning, tanker operations, marine logistics, or shipping operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Scheduling & Operations Planning
Lead scheduling and inventory management activities pertaining to bunker operations in the Port of Singapore to ensure reliable and efficient bunker supply to affiliate vessels and customers
Coordinate and enable bunker deliveries between Sales, Trading, customers, bunker barges, terminals, suppliers, agents, and port authorities
Optimize bunker barge utilization
Monitor operational activities and adjust schedules in response to delays, weather conditions, port restrictions, and changing customer demands
Inter-Functional & Stakeholder Coordination
Serve as a key interface for all scheduling-related activities and issues
Identify opportunities to reduce supply costs and improve profitability as well as areas of improvement in work processes
Support cross-functional initiatives to improve supply chain performance, work processes, and stakeholder interfaces
Monitor barge operator performance to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance
Resolve customer scheduling issues and operational challenges
Operational Monitoring & Reporting
Prepare timely operational reports and support Supply Chain KPI stewardship
Ensure timely and accurate transactional data in systems for accurate risk and margin capture as well as payment/invoicing
Utilize analytic tools to track vessel movements and generate market insights
Safety & Compliance
Ensure scheduling activities comply with company procedures, local regulations and guidelines
Support contingency planning and emergency response coordination when required
Lead Supply Response Team during unplanned supply events and product quality incidents, including report out to management.
Ensures adherence to credit guidelines, regulatory and quality compliance, and transportation policies (i.e. vessel screening process)
Preferred knowledge, Skills and Experiences
Essential
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in marine fuels, bunker scheduling, bunker operations, vessel and shipping coordination
Strong understanding of bunker supply chains, delivery processes and marine transportation operations
Good knowledge of Singapore port operations, maritime regulations, and industry best practices
Strong analytical, problem-solving, risk management, and decision-making capabilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across commercial, operational, and technical teams
Proven ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment
Experience participating in incident response, supply
