Job Summary ConocoPhillips is seeking a seasoned and strategic security leader to serve as Security Director within Global Security. This role provides enterprise leadership, governance, and oversight of security programs designed to protect personnel, facilities, operations, and reputation. As a member of the Global Security Leadership Team, this position is responsible for shaping and executing risk-based security strategies aligned with enterprise priorities and supporting operations across a diverse and evolving global footprint. As the company expands into more complex operating environments, this role will play a critical part in strengthening security capabilities in elevated-risk and high-risk regions—ensuring the safety of employees, contractors, business travelers, expatriates, and secondees while enabling safe and effective business operations. This position is part of the enterprise succession pipeline for senior security leadership and requires the ability to operate at strategic, operational, and tactical levels. Position Overview Key Responsibilities: Enterprise Leadership & Strategy Contribute to enterprise security strategy and priorities as a member of the Global Security Leadership Team Align security programs with enterprise risk thresholds, business objectives, and operational requirements Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on security risks, mitigation strategies, and operational decisions Represent Global Security in senior leadership forums and act on behalf of the Chief Security Officer, as required Portfolio Leadership & Program Execution Lead one or more global security portfolios, which may include: International security and global investigations Americas security and enterprise security technology Executive protection, GSOC, global threat, and travel security Oversee execution of integrated, risk-based security programs across global operations Drive standardization, scalability, and continuous improvement across business units and regions Ensure alignment with the Security Management System and enterprise governance frameworks High-Risk Operations & Workforce Protection Provide leadership for security programs supporting operations in elevated-risk and high-risk environments Oversee security risk assessments and mitigation strategies for facilities, projects, travelers, expatriates, and remote workforces Support new country entry, major projects, and operations in complex geopolitical and security environments Advise leadership on security risk acceptance, escalation thresholds, and go/no-go decisions Ensure travel security, journey management, residential security, and workforce protection programs are robust and effective Governance, Risk & Assurance Establish and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures Ensure effective execution of the Security Management System Oversee assurance, audit, and compliance processes Monitor and report security risks, trends, and mitigation effectiveness Crisis Management & Incident Response Provide senior leadership during incidents, emergencies, and crisis management activations Support enterprise crisis management structures, including IMT and Functional Support Teams Coordinate protective, investigative, and intelligence support capabilities Drive post-incident reviews and continuous improvement Financial & Vendor Management Lead budget planning, cost optimization, and resource allocation Oversee security vendors, contracts, and service delivery Ensure contracted services meet company security standards and operational requirements Stakeholder Engagement Serve as a senior interface with business units and corporate functions Build relationships with government agencies, law enforcement, industry partners, and peer organizations Provide executive-
