Coating and Insulation Inspector (Nights) – Karratha Site | 14/7 Rotation | Contract through to end of February 2027.
Step into a pivotal role where your expertise in coatings and insulation inspection ensures the highest standards of quality and safety on a dynamic project at the Karratha Site. As a Night Shift Coating and Insulation Inspector, you will play a crucial part in verifying compliance with industry specifications, collaborating with engineers and quality teams, and delivering detailed, accurate reports that keep the project on track and up to standard. Your work will directly impact the integrity and success of the project, making your role vital to operational excellence and safety.
Required Skills:
NACE / SSPC / AMPP Certified Coatings Inspector Level 2 or BGAS Level 2 Coating Inspector certification (essential)
ICORR / CINI / AMPP Fireproofing & Insulation Inspector Level 2 certification (essential)
Minimum 5 years of experience in quality discipline related to coating system application and hot and cold insulation inspection
Strong command of English (written and spoken) to ensure clear communication and precise reporting
Proven ability to foster collaborative relationships across multidisciplinary teams
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and compliance standards
Nice to Have Skills:
Previous experience working in remote or site-based industrial projects
Familiarity with HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, Environment) and Quality Culture promotion
Experience participating in quality audits and implementing corrective actions
Strong report-writing and documentation skills beyond basic inspection records
Preferred Education and Experience:
Relevant technical or engineering qualifications in coatings, insulation, or quality assurance disciplines
Extensive hands-on experience within oil and gas, construction, or heavy industry sectors, particularly on-site inspection experience
Other Requirements:
Willingness and ability to work a 14/7 night shift rotation at the Karratha site
Commitment to adherence of safety protocols and personal protective equipment
Functional reporting to the Modification Quality Lead on-site
