Location: Louisville Metro Area, Kentucky (Regional Travel Required) Employment Type: Contract Schedule: Approximately 30 hours per week Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician II to support customer locations throughout the Louisville metropolitan area and surrounding regions of Kentucky. This role requires strong technical troubleshooting abilities, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple service priorities. The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and preventative maintenance. Key Responsibilities Travel to customer sites within the assigned territory to perform service, maintenance, and repair activities. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment, technical, and customer-related issues. Execute lock installation projects and other assigned field service tasks independently. Maintain accurate service documentation, including daily service reports, route completion reports, and expense records. Record technical findings, repairs completed, and parts utilized during service visits. Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules to ensure efficient and cost-effective service delivery. Respond to emergency service requests, which may occasionally occur during evenings, weekends, or holidays. Build and maintain professional relationships with customer personnel. Provide customer training and support on products and equipment as needed. Assist with service coverage in additional locations based on business requirements. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of field service, maintenance, or related technical experience. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned service territory. Required Skills Strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing troubleshooting skills. Experience working with cellular and Bluetooth-enabled devices. Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic capabilities. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
