FPSO Marine Systems Engineer
to play a critical role in the design, engineering, construction and commissioning of a major FPSO development.

The Role As the
FPSO Marine Systems Engineer
, you will act as the technical focal point for all hull and marine systems engineering activities, overseeing contractor and vendor deliverables while ensuring compliance with project specifications, classification requirements and international regulations.
You'll collaborate across engineering disciplines, support procurement and construction activities, engage directly with Classification Societies, and provide expert technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the review and approval of hull and marine systems engineering deliverables from the FPSO Contractor and key vendors.
Ensure all designs comply with project specifications, Class requirements, IMO regulations and industry best practices.
Manage engineering interfaces between marine systems and other disciplines including Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Piping, Structural, ICSS, HVAC, Instrumentation and Corrosion.
Act as the primary liaison with the Classification Society, ensuring timely resolution of comments and certification requirements.
Participate in key project reviews including:
Design reviews
Interface meetings
HAZID and HAZOP workshops
Technical and constructability reviews
Commissioning reviews
Support procurement activities by monitoring vendor technical performance and progress.
Participate in FATs, inspections, hold-point witnessing and quality assurance activities at fabrication sites.
Attend onboard testing and commissioning activities for marine systems.
Monitor project risks, technical issues, schedule impacts and cost deviations, escalating concerns to the Hull Manager where required.
Contribute to lessons learned, technical improvement initiatives and project close-out activities.
What We're Looking For...
Essential Experience
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering.
Minimum
10 years' experience
within the Oil & Gas industry.
Demonstrable expertise in
FPSO hull and marine systems
.
Strong knowledge of offshore loading and offloading operations.
Proven experience working with EPC/EPSCC contractors on major offshore developments.
Experience interfacing with Classification Societies and managing certification processes.
Technical Knowledge
FPSO hull systems and marine operations
IMO regulations
Bureau Veritas classification rules
OCIMF recommendations
International offshore engineering standards
Engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning processes
