Entity: Finance Job Family Group: Finance Group Job Description: The RS&M Cost Analyst is a key role in the financial delivery of the global Midstream P&L. The scope of the role covers cash cost and capital expenditures for the US and European B2B/Supply businesses. Controlling costs is a high priority for the Midstream business, and the portfolio includes a variety of costs across eight countries. The cost analyst role provides regular interactions with all of the VP’s within RS&M, and an opportunity to materially influence the P&L. The business also spends around ~$100m of capex each year to maintain assets and create opportunities for future margin growth and risk reduction. The cost analyst will own the investment portfolio, tracking performance, and working closely with the commercial teams to prioritize expenditures. Both aspects of the role directly support a large integrated P&L and offers direct exposure and influence with senior stakeholders include the Head of Midstream Finance and all of the RS&M VP’s, and an excellent fit for a high-performing analyst to demonstrate impact and accelerate their career. Key accountabilities Forecast and track the cash cost spend for the global RS&M team, working with the budget owners to develop well-controlled budgets and track performance against commitments. Lead quarterly cost reviews with the VP’s across RS&M, ensuring that costs are well understood and that group commitments are met. Interface with central cost programs to ensure long-term commitments are delivered. Own the investment hopper for the RS&M business and agree prioritization and budgets for the GFO and LTP. Perform ad-hoc cost analyses as needed to maintain strong cost controls, and develop insights. Support the PPM team on all normal deliverables - GFO/R, monthly actual, LEs, LTP and other key reporting requirements Essential education and Experience Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline (MBA, CFA, or similar a plus). Strong track record in finance, commercial, or performance management with depth in planning, forecasting, consolidation, and reporting. Proven ability to translate financial and operational data into clear, executive-ready insight, and to lead people and stakeholders through complexity A natural influencer and change-maker who simplifies complexity and builds alignment across diverse stakeholders. Sharp analytics and commercial instincts, with comfort in modern reporting and analytics tools (Power BI, SAP, Excel, SQL). Desirable criteria Energy industry background particularly in supply, logistics, trading, or other commercially oriented environments. The anticipated base salary for this position is approximately between $130,000 and $150,000 USD annually, *Note that the pay range listed for this position is a genuinely expected and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting. This position offers paid vacation depending on your years of relevant industry experience and will range from 120 – 240 hours of vacation per year for full times employees (60 - 240 hours of vacation per year for part time employees). You will also be eligible for 9 paid holidays per year and 2 personal choice holidays.
