Security Advisor II

Airswift is looking for a Security Advisor (Offshore) to work in a contractor position in Guyana with an Oil and Gas Company. 12-month contract JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Security Advisor will provide safety guidance and mentoring to Site Safety Contacts (SSCs) who hold offshore roles and responsibilities (i.e., Offshore SSC positions). This will include, among other activities, the oversight, coaching, and quality assurance of all applicable elements of the Safety Program, program reviews, and corporate records within authorized systems and databases. The Security Advisor (Offshore) role requires sound judgment, conflict resolution skills, interpersonal competencies, and excellent contractor management capabilities. The Security Advisor must, always, act in a professional and approachable manner, representing the Safety Department in all offshore operations, including operations involving vessels. The Security Advisor role is performed on a rotating schedule, based on land (Georgetown), but requires travel to any locations, facilities, or vessels. Assess and improve corporate security programs and practices in response to risks impacting upstream, downstream and corporate departments Coordinate and conduct investigations and prepare reports Develop threat assessments and corporate intelligence communications; mitigate threat vectors using intelligence-led decision making JOB QUALIFICATIONS Professional experience in an offshore environment in a security role. Experience relevant to the position, including significant background in team supervision, operations, and the administration of security programs, crime prevention, and crisis management.
