Job Title: Lead Structural Engineer - Installation Aids Duration: 12 months initially Location: Paris, France Rate: Negotiable (depending on experience) This opportunity supports studies and focuses on subsea structural engineering in an offshore project environment. The role offers the chance to act as a technical focal point across multidisciplinary engineering activities, with a strong emphasis on installation aids, finite element analysis, and marine operation standards. This position will suit professionals who can work autonomously, provide technical leadership, and contribute to complex subsea structure delivery. Key Responsibilities: Act as a focal point for the structure discipline on a subsea project. Interface with other subsea engineering disciplines including geotechnics, installation, flowlines, and materials. Provide leadership to the project structure team through training, support, and technical validation of documents. Manage project activity covering resources, budget, and planning. Ensure engineering documents are issued on time. Provide reporting to the project. Perform the service autonomously under the supervision of a manager while maintaining effective cross-discipline coordination. Must-Have Skills: Minimum 5 years of experience as a structural engineer in offshore subsea structures such as FLET, manifold, suction pile, and large mudmat. Previous subsea project experience applying API 2A WSD, AISC 9th Edition, and DNV-ST-N001 for marine operations. Strong experience with ABAQUS for 2D shell and 3D volumic finite element analysis. Strong experience with SACS beam software and hand calculations. Ability to work autonomously while operating under managerial supervision. Team leadership capability, including training, support, document validation, and technical guidance. Broad subsea engineering awareness across disciplines such as geotechnics, installation, flowlines, and materials. English (mandatory). French language capability.
