Job Title: Structural Engineer - Installation Aids Duration: 12 Month initial contract Location: Paris, France Rate: Negotiable, depending on experience level This opportunity supports engineering studies within a subsea project environment, focused on installation aids and offshore structural analysis. The role offers involvement in technically demanding work using FEA, beam modelling and hand calculations, with application of recognised industry standards in marine operations and structural engineering. Key Responsibilities: Deliver structural engineering support for installation aids within a subsea project environment. Perform finite element analysis using ABAQUS, including 2D shell and 3D volumic modelling. Carry out beam analysis using SACS. Complete structural assessments through hand calculations where required. Apply relevant structural and marine operation standards to engineering studies. Contribute to engineering activities in support of offshore installation work. Work effectively within a site-based team environment for part of the working week. Essential Skills: Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience in installation aids for offshore installation. Previous subsea project experience. Strong experience with ABAQUS for 2D shell and 3D volumic analysis. Strong experience with SACS beam software. Proven capability in structural hand calculations. Working knowledge and practical application of API 2A WSD. Working knowledge and practical application of AISC 9th Edition. Working knowledge and practical application of DNV-ST-N001 for marine operations. English (mandatory). French language capability. Good communication skills, adaptability and a dynamic approach.
