Facilities Engineer / Specialist II Duration: 2.5 years Location: Midland, TX Position Overview This Facilities Engineer / Specialist II opportunity offers the chance to support plant and facilities engineering activities within an operational environment. The Facilities Engineer / Specialist II will contribute to engineering assurance, operational reliability, and safe execution of modifications, repairs, and shutdown support activities. This Facilities Engineer / Specialist II position is suited to candidates with strong technical engineering knowledge, sound judgement, and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams. The Facilities Engineer / Specialist II role will also suit candidates who can communicate clearly and maintain high engineering standards in a fast-paced setting. Role Context This role sits within a plant/facilities engineering and equipment reliability environment, supporting pressure equipment, piping, static equipment, rotating equipment, tanks, and plant modifications. This position works alongside Facilities Engineers, Site Contacts, Lead Engineers, Operations teams, and Contractors, with responsibility for a specific operating area. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work performed internally and by contractors and subcontractors to ensure alignment with company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. Act as an Area Engineer supporting operations for a specific plant area. Provide engineering support for changes, repairs, and alterations to plant pressure equipment, including piping, static equipment, rotating equipment, and tanks. Support shutdown engineering activities within the assigned operations area. Carry out monthly facilities surveillance activities driven by area KPIs. Facilitate effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines in line with team objectives and procedures. Maintain accurate and timely communication on engineering activities, progress, issues, and recommendations across relevant teams. Work collaboratively with other Facilities Engineers, Site Contacts, and Lead Engineers while gaining exposure to other plant areas. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience. Essential: At least 5 years of experience supporting oil & gas facilities, production operations, or related industrial assets. Essencial: Working knowledge of facility equipment, operating principles, reliability considerations, and common failure mechanisms. Essential: Ability and willingness to work in field environments and collaborate directly with operations personnel. Essential: Proficiency in Microsoft Office software. Essential: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English in technical and business settings. Essential: Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
