As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting fixed plant equipment within a busy port operations environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on ore processing equipment, including conveyors, crushers and screens.
Manufacture, assemble and repair metal structures and mechanical components associated with ore processing operations.
Maintain conveyor systems, ensuring alignment, tensioning and lubrication requirements are met.
Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults to minimise equipment downtime.
Provide mechanical support to operations teams to maximise equipment reliability and performance.
Coordinate effectively with maintenance and operational personnel to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs and maintenance activities.
Participate in safety meetings, risk assessments and hazard identification processes.
Adhere to all site safety procedures and compliance requirements.
Roster & Contract Information
12-month contract
Immediate start available
FIFO roster: 8 days on, 6 days off, then 7 nights on, 7 days off
Port Hedland based role
