Senior Planning Engineer

We're recruiting for an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to support major energy projects based in Rotterdam. Initial 12 month contract. Monday - Friday. Hybrid working available. Responsibilities Develop, maintain and optimise detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 Coordinate with engineering, procurement and construction teams to ensure project milestones are achieved Monitor project progress, identify schedule risks and implement recovery plans where required Produce schedule updates, progress reports, earned value analysis and forecasting Analyse project performance and provide planning support to project teams Facilitate planning meetings and ensure alignment across stakeholders Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards Mentor junior planning engineers and provide technical guidance Key Requirements Must be based in the Netherlands or surrounding areas Extensive Planning Engineering experience is essential Strong Primavera P6 experience is required Proven experience developing and managing project schedules Project delivery experience is essential Oil & Gas experience is preferred Candidates with only Project Controls or Cost Controls backgrounds will not be considered Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline Minimum 5 years' experience in project planning Previous Oil & Gas project experience is highly desirable Strong knowledge of planning methodologies and best practices Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams If you're an experienced Senior Planning Engineer based in the Netherlands and looking for your next contract opportunity, I'd love to hear from you.
