Job Family Group: Procurement & Supply Chain Management Group Job Description: Role Synopsis The Indirect Procurement Manager delivers procurement in to a region / asset and is based in that region / asset. They ensure procurement activities, across the region / asset are aligned to both procurement strategic objectives and the region / asset strategic business priorities. They have a deep understanding of and partner with the business to understand demand and challenge the business, where necessary, in order to deliver step changes in 3rd party spend by applying innovative solutions and change management. They have good commercial acumen to help in delivering secure optimal, compliant, and competitive, risk-managed procurement outcomes. They liaise with relevant procurement/sourcing teams to deliver their regions / assets priorities, e.g. working with categories to understand and deliver category plans in their region / asset or working with S2C on sourcing for their region / asset. They balance business needs with category plans ensuring they are in synergy. They partner, collaborate, develop and support management of relationships with suppliers to the regional / asset in collaboration with the global category teams, ensuring local needs are met. They also work with their peers across procurement to understand and share best practice and bring it to their region / asset, making procurement more efficient and effective. Indirect spend includes marketing, professional services, real estate, facilities management, engineering & maintenance, CAPEX projects, travel & events etc. Key Accountabilities Region / asset delivery: Delivers procurement services in to their region / asset. Procurement delivery – Delivers procurement performance to the region / asset that meet or exceeds relevant metrics, including those for safety and compliance. Delivers regional needs whilst also aligning to category plans - Consolidates demand plans for the business, working with categories to ensure category plans are aligned. Understands the local commercial landscape and market factors, aiding in the development of value-driven strategies. Undertakes supplier performance management or interventions, escalating to the relevant business stakeholders or category teams, as needed, to ensure timely resolution and prevent leakage. Advocates for opportunities to partner, collaborate, develop, and strengthen relationships with our contractors and suppliers Unlocks value in line with category management policy  Team intergration: Helps to create and embraces a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement in their team and the business. Develops their technical skills and represents the interests of their region / site / asset across procurement and the broader organization. Collaborates across procurement, with the business and, where appropriate, with suppliers to create a ‘one team’ mentality Builds region / site / asset knowledge across the wider procurement organization to ensure delivery of their objectives Develops their technical capabilities and accelerator skills Embraces psychological safety, and bp values, as a foundation for collaborative learning, ideation and innovation Compliant with Castrol policies and procedures. Supplier & Stakeholder Management: Uses storytelling to communicate impactfully with stakeholders and external partners, respectfully challenging to achieve the right outcomes, resolving conflict and focusing on priorities. Influences through complexity and ambiguity, managing virtual relationships with stakeholders in multi-discipline, multi-cultural environments Builds good stakeholder relationships, bringing market insights and championing supplier value whilst taking time to understand business needs. Becomes a trusted advisor and critical partner to stakeholders Builds relationships with the procurement teams globally, understanding stakeholder feedback and proactively working to build procurements reputation and ROI Transformation and Change Management: Delivers modernization & transformation activities, leading optimization of regional procurement delivery, and creating incremental value, aligned to the broader procurement and business transformation agendas.
