Quality Excellence Engineer Location: Monaco Start Date: October 2026 Contract Duration: 12 Months About the Role We are seeking an experienced Quality Excellence Engineer to join a leading international organisation operating within the energy sector. This role will play a key part in driving quality assurance, supplier and yard qualification activities, audit execution, quality investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives across complex engineering and construction projects. Reporting to the Quality Excellence Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with quality management systems, supporting project tender activities, conducting audits, and promoting a culture of quality excellence throughout the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with extensive Oil & Gas industry experience and a strong background in quality management systems, audits, investigations, and supplier quality assurance. Key Responsibilities Review and assess quality assurance documentation related to supplier and yard qualification activities, ensuring compliance, completeness, and accuracy. Plan, coordinate, and conduct internal, certification, qualification, supplier, and external audits. Monitor audit findings and corrective actions through to successful closure. Analyse quality performance metrics and prepare reports on quality assurance activities. Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing departmental performance and operational efficiency. Contribute to wider organisational improvement programmes and strategic objectives. Ensure compliance with established quality management systems and support ongoing enhancement initiatives. Participate in quality investigations and support the resolution of major quality issues and non-conformances. Conduct root cause analysis and assist in developing effective corrective and preventive actions. Provide recommendations and quality insights to management to support business decision-making. Support tender and proposal activities by integrating quality requirements and reviewing documentation. Work collaboratively with engineering, procurement, project delivery, and construction teams on quality-related matters. Promote a culture of quality excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Assist with the development and delivery of quality awareness and training programmes. Requirements Education & Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Science, Quality Management, or a related discipline. ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (or equivalent recognised auditing qualification). Experience Minimum of 10 years' experience within the Oil & Gas, Energy, Offshore, or related heavy industrial sectors. Previous experience operating in a senior quality-focused position. Strong understanding of project management principles, engineering lifecycles, assurance processes, fabrication, and construction activities. Demonstrable experience managing quality systems within complex engineering projects. Hands-on experience supporting supplier qualification and vendor quality activities. Proven track record in conducting internal and external audits and managing corrective action programmes. Experience investigating quality incidents, non-conformances, and implementing corrective actions.
