Quality Excellence Engineer Duration: 12 months Location: Monaco Rotation: Monday to Friday Start date: 29th September 2026 Position Overview This opportunity is for a Quality Excellence Engineer to support quality assurance, audit delivery, continuous improvement, and quality investigations within a technically demanding engineering environment. The Quality Excellence Engineer will play a key role in strengthening quality performance, supporting compliance activities, and contributing to quality assurance input during early project and tender stages. This position offers the chance for a Quality Excellence Engineer to influence quality standards, performance monitoring, and improvement initiatives across a complex operational setting. The role is well suited to a technically strong Quality Excellence Engineer with deep experience in quality systems, audit practice, and investigation methodologies within the oil and gas sector. Role Context This role sits within the oil and gas industry and reports to the Quality Excellence Manager. The position supports quality-related activities connected to supplier and yard qualification, internal and external audits, tenders and proposals, and broader organisational improvement initiatives. The working environment is focused on engineering, project assurance, construction, fabrication, and special processes. Key Responsibilities Review quality assurance documentation for supplier and yard qualifications, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with required standards. Plan and execute internal, certification, and qualification audits, including follow-up of corrective actions through to closure. Support independent quality investigations, including non-conformance and major quality issue analysis, root cause identification, and corrective action development. Monitor and analyse quality excellence performance, providing timely reporting and clear status updates on quality-related activities. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance departmental efficiency, quality performance, and compliance outcomes. Support the integration of quality assurance requirements into tenders and proposal-stage documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality-related matters and promote quality excellence across the organisation. Assist with awareness and training activities to reinforce quality processes, procedures, and high standards of delivery. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, science, or a related quality discipline. Essential: Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent certification in quality management system auditing. Essential: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including experience in a senior-level role. Essential: Strong project experience with sound understanding of project management fundamentals, engineering principles, lifecycle assurance processes, and construction processes. Essential: Proven knowledge of quality management systems including ISO 9000, ISO/TS 29001, and ISO/IEC 80079-34. Essential: Demonstrated experience in quality investigations, non-conformance handling, root cause analysis, FMEA, CAPA, and major quality incident investigation. Essential: Strong technical knowledge of welding, coating, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
