Orion Group Sciences is seeking a Quality Control to join our multinational pharmaceutical client in Boxmeer on a contract running until the end of the year, with strong potential for extension.
The Quality Control Transfer Team is part of the Quality Control Operations (QCO) department. The team is responsible for the successful transfer of robust, reproducible, high-quality analytical methods using a standardized transfer methodology.
This includes introducing new testing methods developed by R&D for new products, as well as transferring existing methods to and from other sites. The team performs a wide variety of biological assays on vaccine intermediates and finished products. The ultimate goal is the successful transfer of one or more test methods from R&D or another site to Quality Control Operations within the agreed timelines.
We work in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure consistent quality and reliability of our tests and products. In addition, we extensively use Lean Six Sigma tools to solve problems in a structured, team-based manner, prevent recurring issues, and continuously improve our processes.
Job Responsibilities
Perform, review, and report biological assays.
Carry out a wide variety of biological testing techniques, including:
ELISA
Cell culture
Titration assays
Microbiological testing
PCR
Immunofluorescence
Enter test results into laboratory data management systems.
Evaluate assays and review and approve test results.
Transfer technical knowledge and testing methods to other sites.
Actively participate in Tier meetings.
Identify and report deviations in accordance with established procedures.
Work in compliance with GMP, GMO (Genetically Modified Organism), and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) guidelines.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
You have:
A completed laboratory education in (micro)biology at MBO Level 4 (vocational education) or an equivalent qualification.
A strong team-oriented mindset and a high sense of responsibility.
A positive, proactive attitude with a solution-oriented approach.
Experience working under GMP regulations.
At least 3 years of experience in a Quality Control and/or GMP laboratory.
Preferably experience with SAP and electronic QC data management systems.
Strong attention to detail, quality awareness, and flexibility.
Good verbal and written communication skills in both
Dutch and English
.
Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry (preferred).
Experience with Lean Six Sigma tools, such as 8-Step Problem Solving and Kaizen (preferred).
