Role Overview
Subsea7 is hiring an
Operations Quality Advisor
reporting directly to the Deputy Project Quality Manager, with a dual reporting line to the three Package Project Managers (Soft/Rigid/FPU).
The Operations Quality Advisor will provide onshore support to the installation campaigns related to soft, rigid and FPU products.
This position can be based in any of our regional offices in Istanbul, Sutton, Paris or Kuala Lumpur.
Key Responsibilities & Activities
Serve as the focal point for all QA and QC matters during the installation campaigns, providing support to the Package Project Managers and Package Project Teams.
OSCA (Operational Scope Criticality Assessment) coordinate the completion of OSCA reviews with installation and operation leads, ensuring any risks highlighted are identified and mitigations in place.
Own and oversee the Operational Quality Assurance Plan for the critical scopes identified through the OSCA program ensuring safety and predictable performance on these scopes.
Review and identification of quality interventions points within the various installation procedures.
Coordinate inspection and surveillance activities onboard installation vessels and Onshore at Filyos Marine Base (FMB).
Participate in PHA and HIRAS for the various installation campaigns.
Support Filyos Marine Base (FMB) during operational readiness including site receipt testing.
Review and approval of inspectors daily reports (DPR) and action as needed.
Attend and contribute to weekly vessel readiness reviews and provide update of quality related activities.
Attend Daily vessel calls and provide any quality concerns raised during vessel activities.
Support pre-commissioning activities (KOM, ITP approval, inspection management, equipment documentation packs).
Attend Vessel Kick-Off Meetings and present Quality objectives.
Ensure Internal Quality Failures (IQF) and Supplier Performance Issues (SPIs) are appropriately investigated and resolved.
Track and report on quality performance metrics, highlighting areas for improvement and risk mitigation.
Promote a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement across the package and wider project team.
Support the Handover Process, compile & review Handover Certificates and liaise with COMPANY and other COMPANY CONTRACTORS for the inspection and approval of equipment to be handed over.
What experience would we like you to have?
Key Qualifications & Experience
Experienced in the installation and Soft/Rigid and FPU related products (Umbilicals, flexibles, risers and titanium stress joints)
Experienced in review of installation procedures related to the above.
Good level of general education required, supported by a diploma/degree in Quality Management/Engineering.
Broad understanding of subsea products, codes and standards and operations.
Experience of working within the subsea offshore or related industry in a dedicated Installation engineering or Installation Quality position
Experience with direct interface of client, contractor’s suppliers, project team members and external verification/validation bodies
Robust understanding and application of installation processes, testing, Inspection, verification and document review associated with subsea scopes
Experience in participating in readiness reviews, health checks and report writing.
Management of quality and inspection resource teams
Coordination of inspection personnel engaged through 2nd or 3rd party organisations
Utilise the knowledge management tools available to assist Quality to capitalise from Lessons Learned and to perform in accordance with best practice, mitigating risk, promoting safety and integrity as part of a continuous improvement culture
