Airswift is looking for an HSE Specialist/WSER III [C] to work for a major O&G company in the Midland, TX, for an initial 12-months assignment in a 14/14 rotation. Position Overview The HSE Specialist/WSER III [C] is a technical health, safety and environmental opportunity focused on supporting compliance, risk reduction and continuous improvement across operational activities. This position is suited to an experienced professional able to apply strong HSE knowledge to complex workplace challenges and provide practical recommendations within broad operating parameters. The HSE Specialist/WSER III [C] will play an important role in strengthening safety performance, supporting regulatory alignment and contributing to a robust health, safety and environmental culture. The HSE Specialist/WSER III [C] offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of HSE disciplines in a hands-on, operational environment. Key Responsibilities Provide safety leadership to management and employees, including support with OSHA standards, compliance strategies and company policies and standards. Perform work across a broad range of environmental, health and safety disciplines to support compliance with organisational HSE standards and applicable federal and state regulatory requirements. Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of HSE programmes, systems and procedures to support the safety and health of employees and the wider community. Monitor and help prevent chemical, physical and biological hazards and occupational health risks within the work area. Support investigations into accidents, injuries and workplace hazard concerns, and contribute to incident investigation and reporting activities. Recommend improvements to processes, procedures, equipment and operating practices to reduce hazard exposure and strengthen safety performance. Contribute to HSE excellence through training, behavioural safety initiatives, safety system auditing, inspections and analysis of leading and lagging indicators. Provide regulatory interpretation, technical HSE guidance and support with procedure development across a variety of safety, health and environmental matters. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Typically 5-7 years of relevant experience in health, safety and environmental disciplines. Essential: Strong understanding of HSE principles and the ability to apply technical knowledge to complex problems. Essential: Ability to develop practical recommendations and make decisions within broad parameters. Essential: Capability to act as an informal resource for less experienced colleagues.
