This role is part of Business Integration and Compliance (BIC) team within Downstream Trading Renewables Service & Operations Management (DTR SOM). DTR SOM delivers Secure, Reliable and Affordable End to End IT operations to Shell’s Downstream business. The current role is part of the transformation vertical which is a linking pin between the various DTR Operate Teams, delivering strategic initiatives and drive automation for meaningful data insights. What’s the role? The internal job title for this position is Systems Engineer. This role supports the IT Operations and Service Integration teams by leveraging data to generate actionable insights that drive operational excellence. The position focuses on data analytics, automation, and visualization, enabling informed decision-making, improving service performance, and fostering continuous improvement across IT services. Analyze large datasets from IT systems (e.g., ServiceNow, data platforms) to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and other MS tools to support operational and management reporting. Support automation initiatives using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Python to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. Experience with AI and AI agent technologies (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, or similar platforms), with the ability to design, configure, and deploy AI agents that automate workflows, enhance reporting, and support IT operational processes. Collaborate with stakeholders across IT operations to understand data requirements and translate them into analytical solutions. Assist in improving data quality, governance, and standardisation across reporting processes. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with simplification and automation principles. What We Need from You? Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. 3 to 5 years of experience in data analytics, automation, large-scale data management, AI agent technologies and data visualization solutions. Experience in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Python Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Solid understanding of IT Operations and ServiceNow Reports and Dashboards Certifications in ITIL and Agile methodologies is an added advantage Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and optimize complex business processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
